Today we had a tornado drill. With the storm season upon us I encourage everyone to practice at home what you would do if there is a tornado. Do you have an emergency box in the basement? Sometimes we shy away from practicing things like this because we don’t want to frighten our children. While you know your child best, typically by practicing in a matter of fact way is not frightening at all. “We are just practicing so we would know what to do to STAY SAFE.” We focus on that aspect of the drill. As you can see, we all enjoyed out time “underground.”
